Side Effects


What side effects may I notice from receiving Cortef?

Side effects that you should report to your doctor or health care professional as soon as possible:

-fever, sore throat, sneezing, cough, or other signs of infection, wounds that will not heal

-mental depression, mood swings, mistaken feelings of self importance or of being mistreated

-pain in hips, back, ribs, arms, shoulders, or legs

-severe stomach pain

-
signs and symptoms of high blood sugar such as being more thirsty or hungry or having to urinate more than normal. You may also feel very tired or have blurry vision.



-swelling of feet or lower legs

-vomiting

Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report to your doctor or health care professional if they continue or are bothersome):

-headache

-nausea

-skin problems, acne, thin and shiny skin
