  • You can take Farxiga with or without food. Take your tablet at around the same time every day.

  • Stay well-hydrated while on Farxiga. This medicine can cause dehydration and low blood pressure. Tell your doctor if you experience symptoms such as lightheadedness or dizziness.

  • Contact your doctor right away if you experience symptoms of urinary tract infections or genital infections.

  • Make sure you know the symptoms of diabetic ketoacidosis (nausea, vomiting, stomach ache, trouble breathing, fatigue) and what to do if they occur.

  • Talk to your doctor about hypoglycemia symptoms (shakiness, fast heartbeat, confusion) and what to do if they occur.
