How should I use Benznidazole?

Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. Take with or without food. Some tablets may be broken at score lines as directed. Tablets may also be crushed and mixed with water and made into a slurry. Follow the directions on the prescription label or those given to you by your pharmacist. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Take all of your medicine as directed even if you think you are better. Do not skip doses or stop your medicine early.

Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. While this drug may be prescribed for children as young as 2 years for selected conditions, precautions do apply.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of Benznidazole contact a poison control center or emergency room at once. NOTE: Benznidazole is only for you. Do not share Benznidazole with others.

What if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
