Dymista Uses

Dymista Nasal Spray (azelastine - fluticasone) is used to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis and perennial allergic rhinitis, such as nasal congestion (stuffy nose), runny nose, sneezing, and nasal itching. It is used when nasal antihistamines or nasal corticosteroids alone are not sufficient to control symptoms.

There may be other uses of Dymista—your pharmacist or doctor can give you further drug information.

Dymista Mechanism of Action

Dymista contains azelastine which is an antihistamine and works by blocking the action of a natural chemical which causes allergy symptoms. Dymista also contains fluticasone which is a corticosteroid and has anti-inflammatory effects.

Dymista Doses

Dymista (azelastine and fluticasone nasal spray) dispenses 137 mcg of azelastine and 50 mcg of fluticasone per spray. The usual dose is 1 spray in each nostril twice a day.
