How should I use Exelderm?

This medicine is for external use only. Do not take by mouth. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Wash hands before and after use. If treating hand infections, only wash hands before use. Apply a thin layer to the affected area and a small amount to the surrounding area. Rub in gently. You can cover the area with a sterile gauze dressing or bandage. Do not use an airtight bandage, such as a plastic-covered bandage. Do not get this medicine in your eyes. If you do, rinse out with plenty of cool tap water. Use this medicine at regular intervals. Do not use more often than directed. Finish the full course prescribed by your doctor or health care professional even if you think you are better. Do not stop using except on your doctor''s advice.

Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. Special care may be needed.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of Exelderm contact a poison control center or emergency room at once. NOTE: Exelderm is only for you. Do not share Exelderm with others.

What if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
