How To Use Januvia

Januvia comes as a tablet to be taken by mouth with water. You can take this medicine with or without food. Take Januvia at around the same time every day.

Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully and use Januvia exactly as directed by your healthcare professional. Do not use more or less of this medicine or use it more or less frequently than prescribed by your doctor.

Januvia works in conjunction with diet and exercise to control high blood sugar and improve glycemic control. However, this medicine does not cure diabetes. Continue taking Januvia even if you feel well. Do not stop using this medication without talking to your doctor.

Missed dose: If you forget to take a dose of Januvia, take the medicine as soon as you remember. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose as scheduled. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

Storage: Store Januvia at room temperature (between 20-25 ° C or 68-77 ° F) away from moisture, heat, and direct light in a tightly closed container. Keep all medications out of reach of children and pets.

Unused medicine: Throw away any expired or unused Januvia. Do not flush the medicine down the toilet. The best way to dispose of medicines is through your local waste disposal company or a medication take-back program. Learn more about proper medication disposal
