Moxifloxacin (Vigamox) Side Effects

Possible side effects of moxifloxacin are listed below. Tell your doctor if these side effects are severe or do not go away.

• Temporary eye irritation (redness, burning, itching, stinging, or tearing)
• Eye pain
• Dry eyes
• Blurred vision
• Breaking of blood vessels in the eye
• Cough
• Runny nose

Moxifloxacin ophthalmic can also cause some very serious side effects. Call your doctor for medical advice or get emergency medical help if you develop the following serious symptoms:

• Signs of infection such as sore throat, fever, chills
• Ear pain or fullness in the ears
• Rash or allergic reaction
• Swelling of the eyes, face, lips, throat, hands, lower legs, ankles, feet
• Difficulty breathing or swallowing

Moxifloxacin Overdose: In case of an overdose, call your doctor immediately. You can also call your local poison control center, provincial poison control center, or the national poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If a person cannot be awakened, has trouble breathing, has collapsed, or has had a seizure, call 911.
