What should I tell my health care provider before I take Muse?

They need to know if you have, or have had any of these conditions:

-an abnormally formed penis
-bleeding disorder
-have a condition that might cause a painful, prolonged erection, such as sickle cell disease or trait, leukemia, or multiple myeloma
-have been advised not to engage in sexual activity
-low blood pressure
-penile implant
-trouble passing urine
-an unusual or allergic reaction to alprostadil, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
-if your partner is pregnant or intends to become pregnant

What should I watch for while using Muse?

Visit your health care provider for regular checks on your progress.
If you experience dizziness or feel faint during sexual intercourse, this may be due to low blood pressure. Lie down immediately and raise your legs. If symptoms persist, call your doctor promptly.
Men should inform their doctors if they wish to father a child. There is potential for serious harm to an unborn child. Talk to your health care provider for more information. Inform your doctor if your female partner is pregnant or wishes to become pregnant. This medicine does not provide birth control. It is recommended that you use a condom during sexual intercourse.
This medicine does not protect you or your partner against HIV infection (AIDS) or any other sexually transmitted diseases.

Where should I keep my medicine?

Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Refrigeration (preferred): Store in the refrigerator. Do not freeze. Keep unopened medicine in the pouch. Protect from heat and light. Do not open until you are ready to use it. Get rid of any unused medicine after the expiration date.
Room Temperature: This medicine may be stored at room temperature for up to 14 days. Keep unopened medicine in the pouch. Do not open until you are ready to use it. Do not expose to temperatures above 30 degrees C (86 degrees F). Do not expose to direct sunlight. When traveling, store this medicine in a portable ice pack or cooler. Do not store in the trunk of a car or in baggage storage areas. Get rid of any unused medicine after 14 days.
To get rid of medicines that are no longer needed or have expired:

-Take the medicine to a medicine take-back program. Check with your pharmacy or law enforcement to find a location.
-If you cannot return the medicine, ask your pharmacist or health care provider how to get rid of this medicine safely.
