Nabumetone Side Effects

Possible side effects of nabumetone are listed below. Call your doctor for medical advice if they are severe or persist after a few days.

  • Stomach pain, indigestion, gas, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation
  • Dry mouth
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Fatigue
  • Mouth sores
  • Nervousness
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Increased sweating
  • Ringing in the ears

Nabumetone can also cause more serious side effects. Tell your doctor right away or seek emergency medical attention if you develop:

  • Shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, difficulty swallowing
  • Swelling of the eyes, face, lips, tongue, throat, arms, or hands
  • Swelling of the abdomen, lower legs, ankles, or feet
  • Sudden weight gain
  • Hoarseness
  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes
  • Loss of appetite
  • Low energy
  • Nausea
  • Upper right stomach pain
  • Fever
  • Flu-like symptoms
  • Rash, itching, hives, blisters
  • Pale skin
  • Fast heart rate
  • Blood in urine, discolored urine, cloudy urine, dark urine
  • Difficulty or pain with urination
  • Back pain

Nabumetone Overdose: In case of an overdose of nabumetone, call your doctor immediately. You can also call your local poison control center, provincial poison control center, or the national poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. Call 911 or emergency services if a person has collapsed, cannot breathe, has had a seizure, or cannot be awakened. Signs and symptoms of an overdose may include drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, low energy, difficulty breathing, convulsions, and loss of consciousness (coma).
