What should I tell my health care provider before I take Nicotrol?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

-diabetes
-heart disease, angina, irregular heartbeat or previous heart attack
-high blood pressure
-lung disease, including asthma
-overactive thyroid
-pheochromocytoma
-seizures or history of seizures
-stomach problems or ulcers
-an unusual or allergic reaction to nicotine, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
-pregnant or trying to get pregnant
-breast-feeding

What should I watch for while using Nicotrol?

Visit your health care provider for regular checks on your progress.
Talk to your health care provider about what you can do to improve your chances of quitting.

Where should I keep my medicine?

This product may have enough nicotine in it to make children and pets sick. Keep it away from children and pets.
Store at room temperature below 25 degrees C (77 degrees F). Protect from heat and light. Throw away unused medicine after the expiration date. Throw away as directed on the package.
