What are the pros and cons of nystatin?

Nystatin is an effective antifungal medication that is fairly well tolerated by most people.
This medication is safe for use in children, including infants.
It is available in a low-cost generic version.

You need to take nystatin 3-4 times a day.
It can cause stomach upset.
Nystatin is only effective against oral thrush and intestinal candidiasis. It does not treat fungal infections in other organs.
