What may interact with Praluent?

Interactions are not expected.

What should I tell my health care provider before I take Praluent

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
-An unusual or allergic reaction to alirocumab, other medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives
-Pregnant or trying to get pregnant
-Breast-feeding

What should I watch for while using Praluent?

Visit your care team for regular checks on your progress. Tell your care team if your symptoms do not start to get better or if they get worse.
You may need blood work done while you are taking this medication.

Where should I keep my medicine?

Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Store in a refrigerator or at room temperature between 20 and 25 degrees C (68 and 77 degrees F). Protect from light. Do not shake. Avoid exposure to extreme heat.
Refrigeration (preferred): Store in the refrigerator. Do not freeze. Keep this medication in the original carton until you are ready to take it. Remove the dose from the carton about 30 minutes before it is time for you to take it. Use it within 8 hours of removing it from the carton. If the dose is out of the carton for more than 8 hours, throw it away. Throw away any unused medication after the expiration date.
Room Temperature: This medication may be stored at room temperature for up to 30 days. Keep it in the original carton until you are ready to take it. Once removed from the carton, it must be used within 8 hours. If it is out of the carton for more than 8 hours, throw it away. If it is stored at room temperature, throw away any unused medication after 30 days, or after it expires, whichever is first.
To get rid of medications that are no longer needed or have expired:
-Take the medication to a medication take-back program. Check with your pharmacy or law enforcement to find a location.
-If you cannot return the medication, ask your pharmacist or care team how to get rid of this medication safely.
