Suprep Side Effects

Some of the common side effects of Suprep are listed below. Contact your doctor if these symptoms are severe or persistent:

  • Abdominal discomfort
  • Abdominal cramps
  • Bloating
  • Nausea
  • Headache

Rarely, Suprep can cause more serious side effects. Call your doctor right away or seek emergency medical attention if you develop:

  • Vomiting (especially if you are unable to keep down the bowel preparation fluids)
  • Seizures
  • Fainting
  • Confusion
  • Dizziness
  • Swallowing difficulties
  • Rectal bleeding
  • Irregular heartbeat
  • Decreased urination
  • Sudden, severe joint pain

The above list may not include all the possible side effects of Suprep. Call your doctor if you experience any severe or unusual symptoms. You can also report unusual side effects to the Food and Drug Administration at 1-800-FDA-1088.

Suprep Overdose: In case of an overdose, call your doctor, your local poison control center, or the national poison control center at 1-800-222-1222 immediately. Call 911 if someone can’t be awakened, has had a seizure, is unresponsive, or has trouble breathing.
