Symbicort Drug Class

Symbicort (sim buh kawt) contains two active ingredients — budesonide & formoterol. Budesonide is a corticosteroid. Formoterol is a long-acting beta-agonist.

Symbicort Age Range

Symbicort is approved for the treatment of asthma in adults and pediatric patients 6 years of age and older. It is also used for maintenance treatment of COPD in adults.
