What may interact with Tikosyn?

Do not take this medicine with any of the following medications:

-cimetidine
-cisapride
-dolutegravir
-dronedarone
-erdafitinib
-hydrochlorothiazide
-ketoconazole
-megestrol
-pimozide
-prochlorperazine
-thioridazine
-trimethoprim
-verapamil
This medicine may also interact with the following medications:

-amiloride
-cannabinoids
-certain antibiotics like erythromycin or clarithromycin
-certain antiviral medicines for HIV or hepatitis
-certain medicines for depression, anxiety, or psychotic disorders
-digoxin
-diltiazem
-grapefruit juice
-metformin
-nefazodone
-other medicines that prolong the QT interval (an abnormal heart rhythm)
-quinine
-triamterene
-zafirlukast
-ziprasidone

What should I tell my health care provider before I take Tikosyn?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

-heart disease
-history of irregular heartbeat
-history of low levels of potassium or magnesium in the blood
-kidney disease
-liver disease
-an unusual or allergic reaction to dofetilide, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
-pregnant or trying to get pregnant
-breast-feeding

What should I watch for while using Tikosyn?

Your condition will be monitored carefully while you are receiving this medicine.

Where should I keep my medicine?

Keep out of the reach of children.
Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
