How should I use TIROSINT-SOL?

Take this medicine by mouth. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Take at the same time each day. It is best to take on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes to 1 hour before breakfast. Take antacids containing aluminum or magnesium, simethicone, bile acid sequestrants, calcium carbonate, sodium polystyrene sulfonate, ferrous sulfate, sevelamer, lanthanum, or sucralfate at a different time of day than this drug. Take these products 4 hours BEFORE or 4 hours AFTER this drug. Do not take your medicine more often than directed.
For Tirosint-SOL: You may place the solution in a small amount of (5 or 10 mL or 1 to 2 teaspoonfuls) of water if needed. Do not mix with any other liquid.
For Thyquidity: Take directly into the mouth. Do not add to water.
Talk to your health care provider about the use of this medicine in children. While this drug may be prescribed for children as young as newborns for selected conditions, precautions do apply.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of TIROSINT-SOL contact a poison control center or emergency room at once. NOTE: TIROSINT-SOL is only for you. Do not share TIROSINT-SOL with others.

What if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
