  • Erectile dysfunction (inability to achieve or maintain an erection)
  • Ejaculation issues
  • Pain in the testicles

Propecia side effects may get better over time. However, if the side effects of finasteride are severe and continue to worsen, you should let your doctor know as soon as possible.

You should talk to your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

The above list may not include all the potential side effects of Propecia. Speak to your doctor if you have any unusual side effects or if your side effects do not get better over time. You can also report unusual Propecia side effects to the Food and Drug Administration at 1-800-FDA-1088.

Propecia Overdose: One extra dose of Propecia taken by mistake is unlikely to be harmful. If an overdose of Propecia is suspected, speak to your doctor or pharmacist immediately or call the poison control helpline: 1-800-222-1222.

Note: Propecia is a prescription medicine to be used only by you—never share your Propecia with others or use someone else’s Propecia.
