What may interact with Alkindi?


-certain medicines for diabetes, like glipizide or glyburide
-certain antibiotics like erythromycin or clarithromycin
-certain antivirals for HIV or hepatitis
-certain medicines for fungal infections like ketoconazole, itraconazole, or posaconazole
-certain medicines for seizures like carbamazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, primidone
-certain medicines that treat or prevent blood clots like warfarin
-cyclosporine
-female hormones, like estrogen and birth control pills
-NSAIDs, medicines for pain and inflammation, like ibuprofen or naproxen
-rifabutin
-rifampicin

What should I tell my health care provider before I take Alkindi?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

-Cushing''s syndrome
-diabetes
-glaucoma
-having surgery
-high blood pressure
-infection
-liver disease
-mental health disease
-osteoporosis
-stomach or intestine problems
-an unusual or allergic reaction to hydrocortisone, corticosteroids, other drugs, foods, dyes, or preservatives
-pregnant or trying to get pregnant
-breast-feeding

What should I watch for while using Alkindi?

Visit your health care provider for regular checks on your progress. Tell your health care provider if your symptoms do not start to get better or if they get worse.
Do not suddenly stop taking this drug. You may develop a severe reaction. Your health care provider will tell you how much drug to take. If your health care provider wants you to stop the drug, the dose may be slowly lowered over time to avoid any side effects.
This drug may increase your risk of getting an infection. Call your health care provider for advice if you get a fever, chills, or sore throat, or other symptoms of a cold or flu. Do not treat yourself. Try to avoid being around people who are sick.
If you are going to need surgery or other procedure, tell your health care provider that you are using this drug.
This drug may increase blood sugar. Ask your health care provider if changes in diet or drugs are needed if you have diabetes.

Where should I keep my medicine?

Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Keep this drug in the original container. Protect from light. Throw away any unused drug 60 days after opening.
