Hydromorphone (Dilaudid) Age Range

Hydromorphone is approved to treat pain in adults. The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in pediatric patients. Older adults (age 65 plus) may be more sensitive to hydromorphone and may need to be started on a lower dose of this medicine.
