What should I tell my health care provider before I take IMCIVREE?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

-depression
-kidney disease
-suicidal thoughts, plans or attempt
-an unusual or allergic reaction to setmelanotide, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
-pregnant or trying to get pregnant
-breast-feeding

What should I watch for while using IMCIVREE?

Visit your health care provider for regular checks on your progress. Tell your health care provider if your symptoms do not start to get better or if they get worse.
If you or your family notice any changes in your behavior, such as new or worsening depression, thoughts of harming yourself, anxiety, other unusual or disturbing thoughts, or memory loss, call your health care provider right away.

Where should I keep my medicine?

Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Store unopened vials in a refrigerator or at room temperature between 20 and 25 degrees C (68 and 77 degrees F).

Refrigeration (preferred): Store in the refrigerator. Do not open a vial until you are ready to use it. Throw away any unused drug from an open vial after 30 days or after it expires, whichever is first.
