Lansoprazole Side Effects

Possible side effects of lansoprazole are listed below. Tell your doctor if these side effects are severe or do not go away in a few days.

• Diarrhea
• Constipation
• Headache
• Dizziness

More serious side effects of lansoprazole are listed below. Seek immediate medical help if you have the following signs and symptoms:

• Adverse reactions with signs and symptoms such as rash, itching, or hives
• Swelling of the face, eyes, throat, tongue, mouth, or lips
• Difficulty breathing or swallowing
• Fever, flu-like symptoms, blistering or peeling skin sores on the lips, mouth, or genitals
• Blood in the urine, increase or decrease in urination, nausea, fatigue, loss of appetite, rash, fever, joint pain
• Fast or irregular heartbeat, uncontrolled shaking, muscle spasms, tiredness, dizziness, seizures
• Stomach pain, severe diarrhea with watery stools, fever
• New or worsening pain in the joints, sunlight-sensitive rash on the cheeks or arms
