MiraLAX tips from pharmacists

  • MiraLAX is available without a prescription. However, you should not take this medicine without talking to a healthcare provider first if you are 16 years of age or younger, pregnant, or have irritable bowel syndrome or kidney problems.

  • Consult a healthcare provider before taking MiraLAX if you have nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, or changes in bowel habits in the last 2 weeks.

  • If you do not get relief from constipation after one week of using MiraLAX, contact your doctor as it could be a more serious problem.

  • Stop taking MiraLAX if you develop loose stools (diarrhea).
