What should I tell my health care provider before I take Paromomycin?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
-bowel, intestines, or stomach disease
-intestinal blockage, obstruction
-an unusual or allergic reaction to paromomycin, other antibiotics or medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
-pregnant or trying to get pregnant
-breast-feeding

What should I watch for while using Paromomycin?

Visit your doctor or health care professional for check ups as directed. Tell your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or if you get new symptoms.

This medicine may cause a decrease in vitamin B6 and vitamin B12. You should make sure that you get enough vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 while you are taking this medicine. Discuss the foods you eat and the vitamins you take with your health care professional.

Where should I keep my medicine?

Keep out of the reach of children.

Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Protect from moisture. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
