Scopolamine Tips from Pharmacists

  • Apply the patch to clean, dry, hairless skin behind the ear. Make sure you move your hair out of the way. Press down on the patch for a few seconds to ensure it sticks firmly.

  • Do not bend, fold, roll, or cut the patch.

  • Wash your hands thoroughly after handling the transdermal patch. If the medicine gets in your eyes, it can cause dilated pupils and blurred vision.

  • Do not drive, operate machinery, or participate in watersports or underwater activities until you know how the medicine affects you. This medicine can cause drowsiness and dizziness, putting you at risk of injuries and accidents.

  • If the patch falls off, apply a new one. However, never apply more than one patch at a time. Remove the old patch before applying a new one.
