How should I use Theophylline, Anhydrous?

Take this medicine by mouth. Take it as directed on the prescription label. Use a specially marked oral syringe, spoon, or dropper to measure each dose. Ask your pharmacist if you do not have one. Household spoons are not accurate. Keep taking it unless your health care provider tells you to stop.
Talk to your health care provider about the use of this medicine in children. While this drug may be prescribed for selected conditions, precautions do apply.
Patients over 60 years of age may have a stronger reaction and need a smaller dose.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of Theophylline, Anhydrous contact a poison control center or emergency room at once. NOTE: Theophylline, Anhydrous is only for you. Do not share Theophylline, Anhydrous with others.

What if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
