Alfuzosin Pros and Cons

Alfuzosin is available in a lower-cost generic version.
It is generally well tolerated and does not cause many side effects.
Unlike an immediate-release alfuzosin tablet that you would take multiple times a day, you only need to take the extended-release tablet once a day.

Alfuzosin only treats the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It does not stop the prostate from growing.
It has drug-drug interactions with many other medications.
This medicine may not be safe for people with liver disease.
