  • Clotrimazole and betamethasone combination is not for children under 17 years of age. It can cause serious side effects such as adrenal suppression and delayed weight gain. It should not be used to treat diaper rash in babies.
  • Use of this topical medication on large areas, for a long time, or under occlusive dressings can produce detectable quantities of corticosteroids in the blood and cause serious side effects. 
  • The combination of clotrimazole and betamethasone can cause irritation of the treated area of skin in some people.
