Janumet Drug Class

Janumet (jah new met) is a combination product that contains two medications - sitagliptin and metformin HCl. Sitagliptin belongs to a group of medications called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors or gliptins. Metformin belongs to a group of drugs called biguanides.

Janumet Age Range

Janumet is approved for use in adults. The safety and effectiveness of Janumet in children under the age of 18 years have not been established.
