What are Klonopin (clonazepam) side effects?

Common side effects of Klonopin are listed below. Call your doctor if these side effects are severe or do not go away after a few days.

  • Drowsiness
  • Dizziness
  • Depression
  • Nervousness
  • Problems with coordination
  • Difficulty concentrating or thinking
  • Muscle or joint pain
  • Increased urination
  • Blurred vision
  • Changes in sex drive

Some of the adverse effects of Klonopin can be more serious. Please call your doctor immediately if you experience the following side effects:

  • Hives
  • Rash
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
  • Difficulty breathing or swallowing
  • Hoarseness

Klonopin Overdose:  Call your doctor right away or go to the nearest emergency room in case of a known or suspected overdose of Klonopin. If a person cannot be awakened, has had a seizure, or has trouble breathing, call 911 immediately. Symptoms of Klonopin overdose may include drowsiness, confusion, and loss of consciousness (coma).
