You should throw away any unused Xalatan after 6 weeks. Xelpros brand can be stored either at room temperature or in the refrigerator and is good up to the date mentioned on the bottle.

• To prevent contamination and eye infection, wash your hands before using latanoprost. Don’t allow the tip of the dropper to touch your hands, eyes, or anything else.

• Remove your contacts before applying latanoprost and wait 15 minutes before putting them back in.

• Allow a gap of 5 minutes between different eye drops.
