Aimree is nothing short of a fighter. At a young age, she was diagnosed with a rare genetic translocation between chromosomes and systematic juvenile Idiopathic arthritis, which makes her joints those of an elderly woman. All of this requires weekly infusions and a lot of medication. She also has epilepsy, a neurological disorder, and was born without a right hand.

 Due to all of her conditions, Aimree wasn’t able to walk until the age of 4 and uses sign language to communicate. Her daily life involves a lot of therapy and treatment, but in the midst of it all, she still finds joy. 

 Aimree is fascinated by fish and loves to dance. Upon crossing paths with Make-A-Wish^®, she knew exactly what she wanted to wish for – a trip Hawaii. Aimree and her family enjoyed a week-long vacation where she got to see different fish and dance.

 After flying out to Hawaii to begin their adventure, they were welcomed by a lei greeter who took them to the resort. Aimree went snorkeling, got to feed and interact with various types of wild fish and, of course, relaxed and enjoyed the resort.

 “This was an experience Aimree will remember forever. It is truly amazing what you all do,” Aimree’s mother said.
