Plan B One-Step Uses

Plan B One-Step is a type of emergency contraception that is used to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex (sexual intercourse without use of a birth control method or if the birth control method was not properly used or failed - for example, if birth control pills were not taken on schedule or a condom slipped or broke). This emergency contraceptive can be taken up to 72 hours after unprotected sexual intercourse. However, it is not for routine use as a birth control method.
