Prednisolone Acetate Tips from Pharmacists

  • Call your doctor if your eye symptoms do not improve after 2 days of using prednisolone acetate.

  • If you are supposed to take two doses, wait 5 minutes before instilling the second drop into your eye.

  • Store prednisolone ophthalmic at room temperature.

  • Shake the bottle well before use.

  • It is common to experience some temporary burning and stinging after using the eye drops. Tell your doctor if these symptoms are severe.

  • If you have used prednisolone acetate for a long time, you should not stop it suddenly. Talk to your doctor about how to reduce the dose slowly.
