What are Xyzal (levocetirizine) side effects?

Possible side effects of Xyzal are listed below. Call your doctor if these side effects are severe or do not go away.

  • Drowsiness
  • Fatigue
  • Weakness
  • Dry mouth
  • Sore or itchy throat
  • Cough
  • Fever
  • Runny nose, itchy nose, nasal congestion
  • Nosebleed

Xyzal can cause certain serious adverse effects. Tell your doctor right away if you experience:

  • Rash, hives, itching
  • Swelling of the hands, arms, lower legs, ankles, feet

Xyzal overdose: Contact a healthcare professional and get emergency medical attention in case of a known or suspected overdose. You can also call the Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222. If the person can’t be awakened, has had a seizure, or has trouble breathing, call 911 or take them to the nearest emergency room. Symptoms of a Xyzal overdose may include severe drowsiness, restlessness, and agitation.
