Lamotrigine (la-moe-truh-jeen) is an anticonvulsant or antiepileptic medication.

Lamotrigine Age Range

Lamotrigine is approved for use as adjunctive treatment along with other antiepileptic drugs in adults and children 2 years of age and older. Lamotrigine monotherapy (maintenance treatment with a single antiepileptic drug) is approved in people 16 years of age and older. This medicine is used in adults over the age of 18 years for the treatment of bipolar I disorder.
